Member Services Specialist

Position Type: Part-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm

As a Member Services Specialist at The Adirondack Club, you play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency of our front desk operations. Your wealth of knowledge about our membership offerings, programs, and services allows you to confidently answer inquiries from both members and non-members. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and their guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.

  • Verify and check in members while confirming the validity of memberships.

  • Monitor non-member and guest check-ins efficiently.

  • Process payments for services and manage unpaid balances accurately.

  • Input new membership contracts and handle membership change requests.

  • Manage our multi-line phone system and provide clear and informative responses.

  • Conduct Club tours to showcase our offerings and assist in selling memberships.

  • Offer effective solutions to member inquiries and showcase in-depth knowledge of membership types and Club programming.

  • Maintain a neat and presentable front desk area with up-to-date Club information for members and guests.

  • Support department directors with various administrative duties.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings.

  • Contribute to the training of new hires.

  • Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to understanding and following organizational policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking an energetic self-starter with exceptional organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, reacting promptly when needed, and possesses excellent customer service skills, including experience in resolving member/guest issues. Flexibility is key, as each day may bring different tasks and responsibilities. Some billing/accounting experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to maintain professionalism, are crucial. The ideal candidate works well both independently and collaboratively, presents a professional appearance, embraces a healthy lifestyle, and radiates a positive attitude. Utilizing the Club for personal wellness activities, such as working out and participating in group exercise classes, is encouraged to enhance familiarity with our product offerings.

  • 2+ years of in-person customer service experience in a fitness, retail, or hospitality environment.

  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft programs.

Active Kids After School & Childcare

In Childcare, we are hiring for weekday and weekend shifts. At this time, the open positions for Childcare would be from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday through Friday. On the weekends, we are looking for staff to work a Saturday position that would be from 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM. 


We are also hiring for our Active Kids After School Program. Join the team that runs the most Awesome After School programs around! Shifts for Active Kids will be during the week from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. 

If you are interested in either of these positions and want to work with an awesome team on any combination of these days, we would love to see your application! Any experience with children is a big plus but not required!

WSI Swim Instructor

Currently, we are looking to fill midday and afternoon shifts. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an accident or emergency.

  • Inform members of current programming and pool schedule.

  • Monitor cleanliness of pool and pool deck and perform maintenance when necessary.  Alert Aquatics Director of any major issues.

  • Check and Record chemical readings at required times.

  • Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.

  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service.

  • Completes accident/incident reports as necessary.

  • Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, timeliness, codes of conduct, dress and timekeeping.​

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications

  • Previous Lifeguard experience preferred.

  • Ability to work with children

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
