Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an accident or emergency.

·         Inform members of current programming and pool schedule.

·         Monitor cleanliness of pool and pool deck and perform maintenance when necessary.  Alert Aquatics Director of any major issues.

·         Check and Record chemical readings at required times.

·         Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.

·         Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service.

·         Completes accident/incident reports as necessary.

·         Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

·         Adheres to all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, timeliness, codes of conduct, dress and timekeeping.

Qualifications and Skills:

·         Valid Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications

·         Previous Lifeguard experience preferred.

·         Ability to work with children

·         Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

The Adirondack Club, located in Franklin, MA is accepting resumes for the position of Aquatics Director. This full-time senior management team position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, a strong customer service background and a creative thought process. You will manage a large Swim School program including class development, instructor scheduling, and fielding questions from prospective participants. Previous experience managing a team is also desired; management of a lifeguard team is preferred. Marketing and promotional experience with social media is beneficial as is an understanding of general financial concepts. We are hiring swim instructors! Positions are year-round, part-time, with flexible hours including weekends. You must have a current WSI Certification, be mature and have some experience in a teaching environment or working with children.

Join one of the best summer camps in the region!  Camp runs for 9 weeks; June 22-August 21, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.  The Ropes Course Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating a variety of games, activities and challenges for campers' ages 5-14 years old utilizing our onsite low ropes course, zip line and climbing wall.



  • Must be 20 years of age and able to pass state CORI/SORI

  • Good energy and an upbeat attitude

  • Creative

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Experience working with kids and/or groups

  • Comfortable with heights

  • Ability to complete ropes course, belay and climbing training (any prior experience is a plus)

  • Ability to climb the course

  • Able to set up, clean up and organize program equipment properly
