Program Philosophy

At Active Kids, we believe that developing a healthy lifestyle starts early! Through the encouragement of learning by doing, a positive self-image is our goal. Our program strives to provide children with an environment within which they can safely interact, grow, create, discover, and work off boundless energy.

About Our School

We are a small preschool with 2 classrooms and a dedicated team of 5 teachers that strive to ensure we offer the best program we can for our students. Our program has an active schedule in line with our philosophy. We are fortunate to benefit from the ability to use a variety of spaces in the Health Club that we are part of. This is especially useful during inclement weather when we use the field house for recess. Students also benefit from weekly swim lessons and monthly fitness classes given by the club’s certified instructors. We love to be outside as much as we can and utilize the green spaces that surround the club. We are a school year only program and follow the Franklin Public Schools Calendar for school vacations. We have the option to offer additional hours during February & April vacation weeks as we run a preschool camp with reduced numbers (usually approximately 10 students).
